Bio-Med: Clinical Engineering Program
The STORZ MEDICAL America, Inc. MODULITH® SLX-F2 Technical Training program is designed to provide the hospital Biomedical or Clinical Engineer with the knowledge and skills necessary to properly maintain the MODULITH® SLX-F2 lithotripter. You will attend the same classes and receive the same training as our own Technical Support Engineers.

Advanced Applications 2-Day Training Program
The STORZ MEDICAL America, Inc. MODULITH® SLX-F2 Advanced Applications programs are designed to provide the allied health professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to properly operate the MODULITH® SLX-F2 lithotripter and its accompanied imaging system.

At Storz Medical America, Inc. Headquarters in Kennesaw, GA
STORZ MEDICAL America, Inc. Applications Specialists and Engineers instruct participants. This program provides both advanced didactic lithotripsy and imaging theory. Each topic is supported with labs designed to reinforce the theory covered. The student will learn how to perform preventive maintenance checks on the system as well as replace common parts and assemblies.
Prerequisites
The individual(s) attending or participating in the STORZ MEDICAL America, Inc. MODULITH® SLX-F2 Advanced Applications programs MUST have a solid understanding of the basic fundamental principles of lithotripsy. The STORZ MEDICAL America, Inc. Advanced Applications courses are designed with the understanding that all students attending have a minimum 3 months of lithotripsy experience in addition to:
- Knowledge and understanding of imaging systems
- Knowledge of radiographic and fluoroscopic anatomy
- Some mechanical skills
- Minimum experience of 50 patient treatments
Customer’s Facility Based Program
A STORZ MEDICAL America, Inc. Application Specialist will instruct, at your facility, up to 3 students in a didactic and functional program. Allied health professionals participating in this program MUST be dedicated for the time allotted for this training period.

Follow-Up, Transitional & U.S. Training Programs
These programs are designed for the allied health professionals or facilities that may require additional training, whether to refresh operational skills of current operators or provide training due to a transition in personnel.
A STORZ MEDICAL America, Inc. Applications Specialist will instruct, at your facility up to two (2) operators in safe and efficacious use of our MODULITH Lithotripters and its accompanied imaging system. This program typically requires 4-6 week of advanced planning to ensure a minimum patient caseload is scheduled for the agreed upon dates. The number of actual training days is to be determined based upon the needs and experience level of the trainee(s). Personnel participating in this program MUST be dedicated for the time allotted for this training period.

Installation Planning
In the interest of providing preliminary, and ongoing support of site planning and space allocation pertaining to proposed lithotripsy installation sites, STORZ MEDICAL America, Inc. is pleased to offer personalized and dedicated resources to assist in the planning process. This service is offered free of charge and is made available for proposed mobile and fixed equipment applications.
Due to the wide range of local, municipal, provincial, and state licensing requirements/restrictions, this service is limited to preparation and presentation of layout drawings, and information indicating options for equipment positioning, workflow, and utility connections specific to the equipment configuration under consideration.
*All structural, environmental, electrical, and mechanical design and/or compliance pertaining to building or transport vehicle is and will remain the responsibility of the customer. Our technical services staff is experienced in working closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and end-users to provide all pertinent information required in which to make this a seamless process.
All room/site drawings provided by STORZ MEDICAL America, Inc. are intended to demonstrate the easiest and most cost effective plan. Our resources are made available throughout the planning and installation process to address and help resolve any questions or issues which may arise. Ultimately, our goal is always timely and successful completion of any lithotripsy site, thus consistently delivering productive operations to a satisfied customer.
